Mutual inductance of coaxial solenoids

This test of the inductance calculations of BiotSavart uses data and calculated mutual inductances for various pairs of coaxial solenoids from the following publication:

Slobodan I. Babic and Cevdet Akyel, "New Analytic-Numerical Solutions for the Mutual Inductance of Two Coaxial Circular Coils With Rectangular Cross Section In Air", IEEE Transactions on Magnetics 42 (2006) 1661.

The BiotSavart calculations are made using the autoresolution feature of BiotSavart 4.0.6. The mutual inductance is found by setting the current in one coil to 1 Amp and the current in the other coil to zero, then calculating the flux linking the coil whose current is zero.

In the table below, the example numbers are those used in the publication. The quoted publication value is the mutual inductance calculated using the accurate method described in the publication.
